Is this the same as a CCTV survey?

A survey grades condition; mapping records geography. They're usually done together — one crew, one visit, two documents.

How accurate are the depths and positions?

Sonde location is typically accurate to centimetres for position and gives reliable depth at each fix point — good enough for design and safe digging.

Do you check for misconnections?

Yes — dye and flow testing identifies surface water entering foul systems and vice versa, a common find with real consequences.
