Terms of Website Use
Please read these terms carefully before using this site.
These terms tell you the rules for using our website watertrust.co.uk (our site), whether as a guest or by submitting a job. By using our site you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use our site.
These terms are written for anyone using the site to request quotes for water work, whether for a home or for a business. Separate terms apply to contractors who buy leads.
About us
watertrust.co.uk is operated by WaterTrust ("we", "us", "our"), registered at One Canada Square, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5AB. To contact us, email https://watertrust.co.uk/contact.
Other terms that apply
Our Privacy Policy sets out how we handle the personal information you provide. When you submit a job you give your explicit consent for us to share your details with approved contractors, as described in that policy. You can read it at our Privacy Policy. You confirm that the information you give us is accurate.
What WaterTrust does, and what it does not do
WaterTrust lets you describe a water job once so that a small number of approved, vetted contractors — no more than four — can contact you about it. It is free to submit a job.
WaterTrust is an introduction service only. We are not a contractor, we do not carry out any work, and we do not quote for work. Any quote, agreement, or work is a separate contract between you and the contractor you choose. You are responsible for choosing a contractor and for satisfying yourself about their suitability, pricing, insurance and accreditation before engaging them.
Changes
We may change these terms at any time by amending this page, so please check it from time to time. We may also update or change the content of our site at any time, and we are under no obligation to keep it up to date.
Accessing our site
Our site is made available free of charge. We do not guarantee that the site, or any content on it, will always be available or uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw, or change all or any part of the site without notice, and we will not be liable if it is unavailable at any time. You are responsible for making the arrangements necessary to access the site, and for ensuring anyone accessing it through your connection is aware of these terms.
No reliance on information
The content on our site is provided for general information only and is not advice you should rely on. While we make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate, we make no guarantee that it is accurate, complete or up to date.
Our liability
It is your responsibility to select a contractor for any job you post. Any arrangement you enter into with a contractor is a separate contract between you and that contractor, and we are not a party to it and are not liable to you under it.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied conditions, warranties and other terms, and we will not be liable for any loss or damage — whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, even if foreseeable — arising from:
- your use of, or inability to use, our site
- your reliance on any content on our site
- any work carried out by any contractor who contacts you as a result of a job you post
We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus or other technologically harmful material that may infect your equipment because of your use of our site, or for the content of any third-party site linked from ours.
Prohibited uses
You may use our site only for lawful purposes. You must not use it:
- in any way that breaches any applicable law or regulation
- in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect
- to harm or attempt to harm anyone, including minors
- to submit false, misleading or fraudulent job details, or details that are not your own genuine enquiry
- to send spam or any unsolicited advertising
- to transmit any viruses, trojans, worms, or other harmful code
You also agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy or resell any part of our site, and not to access without authority, interfere with, damage or disrupt the site, the servers on which it is stored, or any connected network or software.
Intellectual property
We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site and its content, which are protected by law. You may print or download extracts for your own personal use only. You must not use any part of the content for commercial purposes without a licence from us.
Viruses and security
We do not guarantee that our site will be secure or free from bugs or viruses, and you are responsible for using your own virus protection. You must not misuse our site by knowingly introducing harmful material or attempting to gain unauthorised access to it or to any connected server or database. You may link to our home page in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation, but you must not suggest any association or endorsement where none exists. We may withdraw linking permission at any time.

These terms, their subject matter and their formation are governed by English law. You and we agree that the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there.
